What Outsource IT delivers

Managed detection and response, 24/7 SOC monitoring, phishing defence, and identity protection for Ontario businesses.

01

Managed Detection & Response (MDR)

Behaviour-based protection on every laptop, desktop, and server, well past what traditional antivirus catches. Threats are contained in real time and escalated to a human analyst, not left in a dashboard for someone to notice on Monday.

02

24/7 NOC and SOC monitoring

Our network operations centre in Burlington watches your infrastructure day and night, backed by security operations analysts who triage alerts, hunt threats, and act on containment playbooks written for your environment.

03

Email security and phishing defence

Advanced filtering, impersonation and business email compromise protection, plus simulated phishing campaigns that show you exactly which teams need coaching before an attacker finds out first.

04

Identity and access management

Multi-factor authentication everywhere it matters, conditional access rules, privileged account control, and clean joiner, mover, leaver processes so old accounts never become open doors.

05

Security awareness training

Short, practical sessions run by engineers who work in the field, so your team recognises the current wave of invoice fraud, MFA fatigue, and QR code scams instead of last decade's Nigerian prince.

06

Cyber insurance readiness

We map your controls against the questionnaire your insurer or your largest client is about to send, then close the gaps that would otherwise void coverage or lose you the contract.

What changes for your business

  • Threats contained in minutes, not discovered weeks later
  • Documented controls for insurers, auditors, and enterprise clients
  • Fewer successful phishing clicks after the first training cycle
  • One accountable partner instead of five security vendors

Questions we get asked

13 answers covering cybersecurity & threat protection, pricing, response times, and compliance.

It includes managed detection and response on every endpoint, 24/7 monitoring, email and identity protection, patching, phishing simulation and training, and incident response. Outsource IT delivers all of it under one fixed monthly fee with Ontario-based escalation.

Yes. Monitoring runs 24/7/365 from our Burlington network operations centre with security analyst backup, so overnight ransomware activity is contained while your office is closed.

Our containment target is under 15 minutes from detection. Managed detection and response isolates the affected endpoint from the network automatically, then an analyst validates the alert, hunts for lateral movement, and starts our written incident-response playbook. Ontario clients get a named engineer on the bridge call, not a ticket queue.

No. Traditional signature antivirus misses fileless attacks, credential theft, and living-off-the-land techniques that make up most successful intrusions today. Modern protection needs behaviour-based EDR, 24/7 human monitoring, multi-factor authentication, email filtering, and tested backups. Cyber insurers in Canada now ask for those controls by name.

Yes. Every client gets a monthly security report covering blocked threats, patch compliance, MFA coverage, phishing simulation results, and open risks. We also complete cyber-insurance questionnaires and enterprise vendor security reviews on your behalf.

We run the incident response: contain, investigate, preserve evidence, restore from immutable backups, notify your insurer and legal counsel, and support privacy-breach reporting obligations under PIPEDA. You get a written post-incident report with the root cause and the fixes applied.

Yes. Outsource IT Computing Inc. is an official technology partner of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA), specializing in managed IT services and cyber security for legal professionals across Ontario. Legal clients get confidentiality-first controls, encrypted and tested backups, phishing defence, secure courthouse and remote access, and Law Society of Ontario compliance evidence.

Yes. Our MDR stack combines EDR on every endpoint, 24/7 SOC monitoring, network traffic analysis, and threat hunting performed by Canadian-based analysts. Critical alerts are triaged within 15 minutes and suspected compromises trigger immediate isolation. We provide post-incident forensic reports for compliance documentation under PHIPA, PIPEDA, and Law Society requirements.

Through layered defence. Our ransomware protection combines email filtering that blocks the overwhelming majority of malicious attachments, endpoint EDR with behavioural detection, immutable offsite backups, least-privilege access controls, and quarterly security awareness training. In a ransomware event, our incident-response plan restores critical systems within the recovery time objectives defined in your service agreement.

Yes, annually for managed clients in regulated industries. We partner with independent Canadian penetration-testing firms for external and internal pen tests, vulnerability scans, and red-team exercises. We do not self-test our own work: independent firms produce the findings and our team remediates them. Recommended for healthcare, legal, financial, and any client pursuing SOC 2 or ISO 27001.

Default RTO is 4 hours for critical systems and 24 hours for non-critical systems. Faster objectives of 1 hour or 15 minutes are available for clients requiring tighter continuity, typically healthcare, financial, and manufacturing operations. Faster RTO requires hot-standby infrastructure and is priced separately from standard managed services.

Yes. We retain surge capacity within the engineering bench specifically for client emergencies: ransomware events, major migrations, M&A integrations, and regulatory audits. Clients on managed plans get surge support without additional billing for declared incidents. Major project surges, for example a 200-user migration on a 30-day deadline, are scoped as a project with a dedicated project manager.

Yes, quarterly by default. Every managed-services client receives a quarterly business review covering ticket volume and trends, security posture changes, upcoming projects, technology roadmap, and budget forecast. Larger clients and regulated-industry clients receive monthly executive reviews instead. Reviews are delivered by your assigned vCIO, not by the help desk.
